Our growth and fundraising success is an ongoing result of collaborative efforts with you, and others from our outstanding Asawa SOTA community! We are grateful for your ongoing support.
The information below focuses on a few of the objectives coordinated by FoSOTA.
Box Office & Concessions
A FoSOTA representative attends each on-campus show to manage the box office. During larger shows, volunteer assistance is sometimes required. FoSOTA brings all necessary supplies for the box office (cash box, tickets, seating charts, iPad/Square, hole punch for season passes, etc.).
Concessions at SOTA are designed to provide additional revenue opportunity for the art departments. FoSOTA provides the following for on-campus concession sales:
- Money bag and deposit forms
- $50 cash, for change
- iPad/Square (may not be available for all shows)
Volunteers may occasionally receive limited access to certain confidential information in order to accomplish a job duty. This may include personal contact information such as names, student art department, phone numbers and addresses. The intent of our policies is to assure that confidential information will remain confidential as well as proprietary — that is, that it will be used only as necessary to accomplish FoSOTA’s mission. Volunteers do not have access to individual donation amounts or FoSOTA databases. If you are ever unsure about the confidential nature of specific information, speak to a FoSOTA staff member for clarification before disclosing the information.
Fund Drive Week – October 24 & 28, 2016
The 100 day count ends on November 22, 2016!

Location: Asawa SOTA
Purpose: to reach all Asawa SOTA families, to be thanked for participating in the Annual Fund, or to be reminded to turn in their annual Information Donation Form (stating if the wish to donate, volunteer, or if they choose not to participate at this time).
Training: a training session will be held each day between 5:30-6:00pm.
Notes: Volunteers may have limited access to some trusted information (names, phone numbers, etc.). All volunteers are required to sign and comply with the FoSOTA confidentiality agreement.
# of Volunteers Needed: 1/25 – One volunteer per each 25 people in your department.
Description: As a group, we will call families to confirm they have received the Information Donation packets that were mailed in September. If they did not receive the information, we will confirm their mailing address so we can resend this important information. We will inform parents of the 100% parent participation goal in each department and answer questions regarding the Annual Fund and specific department needs (all information will be provided!). FoSOTA representatives will be available to take pledges and/or donations during the calls. This is a fun group activity! Snacks and beverages will be provided for volunteers.

Parent Appreciation Week – TBD

# of Volunteers Needed: 1-2 for each department, depending on size
Description: We will be writing short, personalized notes to thank our amazing families. Snacks and beverages will be provided for volunteers.
