Asawa Sota’s Teen Activists Make the New York Times

Members of Asawa SOTA’s Outdoor Leadership Club hit the road, spreading the message about the impact of transportation on greenhouse gas emissions.

Funded by community donations and $15,000 in Youth Empowerment Fund grants administered by FOSOTA, the cross-country bike trip known as Youth Bike America captured the imagination of New York Times writer Andrew Keh:

The romance of the open road is well established: meeting strangers, self-enlightenment, getting lost and breaking down. Would these ideals hold up in the cruel summer of 2020?
