Initiatives

Outreach

We can (and do) shout it from the hilltops: Arts-based education works! We also head straight into the community to help raise awareness of the benefits of arts education and arts-based learning. Focusing on access and inclusion, we seek to create pathways to an arts-based education where all voices are heard, respected, and celebrated.

Fun(d)raising

We raise fun (and funds) in support of Asawa SOTA’s the groundbreaking educational model.

Whether we’re organizing a community party or planning a fundraising campaign, we celebrate a culture of generosity, where sharing our stories and our resources benefits all of us.

Arts Ambassadors

Shine a light on art in the schools: book Asawa SOTA students, alumni, and educators as spokespeople and entertainers at your events.

From fairs and assemblies to festivals and corporate parties, we can help arrange whatever you envision — a chamber orchestra, a panel discussion, a world drumming workshop, face painters, a poetry slam, show tunes, a stage crew . . .

Big Ideas

We’re taking it to the streets: The Art Truck is coming.

We’re aiming to take Asawa SOTA into the community — particularly into arts-underserved schools — with a mobile arts studio where kids can try art, design, dance, music, writing, poetry, and more. Connecting them with resources inside and outside their schools, the Art Truck helps pave pathways to an arts-based education at Asawa SOTA and beyond.
