Welcome to the Alumni Network!

It has been over a month since you have crossed the stage, and this is only the beginning of a transformative journey you are about to endure. Whether you choose to continue your educational path, enter the workforce, travel and settle in a different country, take a gap year, or simply enjoy living life on the edge, we are excited to see all that you do; we will always be at the sidelines rooting you on!

Awards that were given by Alumni & Friends, recognizing students’ dedication to the arts.

From 1999-2001, musician and parent alum, Carlos Santana, headlined shows at the Fillmore to generate revenue to support the newly established campus, Ruth Asawa School of the Arts. This birthed Alumni & Friends (formerly known as FOSOTA or Friends of Ruth Asawa School of the Arts) as a way to manage the funds. Since then, our organization has used these funds to support students throughout their time there. Whether that is through the advancements of the farm, fiscal sponsorship, capstone projects, or keeping alumni connected, we want to continue this legacy of expressing ourselves through art and giving back to the community.

We are always looking for creative and driven alumni to help us and appreciate any ounce of help. If YOU want to continue the fight for arts education for students at our school and across the city, join the team!
